On June 20-21, 2023, YONGJOON CHO, CTO of MONITECH, represented the company at the event that brought together global automotive engineers to share the latest insights and innovations on the development and integration of electric vehicle (EV) battery systems into car body structures.
Dr. Cho, along with Dr. rer. nat. Peter Daniel, Product Manager Automotive from our European partner company, Vitronic GmbH, Germany, co-presented in the ‘Welding Innovations I’ session, delivering a presentation titled "Process Monitoring and Quality Inspection of Various Welding Processes in Automotive Battery Manufacturing." The presentation highlighted a comprehensive solution for EV battery quality management monitoring systems—including micro-spot welding, ultrasonic welding, and laser welding—and introduced Vitronic’s VIRO WSI, a 3D weld seam inspection system. Together, they discussed the importance of innovation and precision in quality control within the automotive battery manufacturing process.
The organizers reported that this presentation was rated as the most outstanding of the first day’s sessions, receiving significant attention and positive feedback from attendees. Through this successful participation, MONITECH Co., Ltd. further solidified its presence as a key partner in advancing quality management and monitoring technologies for automotive battery manufacturing.
